In fact, the pain of losing that family member who loves unconditionally just about tips the balance away from all those years of love and companionship.<BR/><BR/>But they ARE a responsibility. And after you've tasted the freedom that comes with an empty nest, you understand the oft-given answer to the eternal debate concerning, "When does life begin?"<BR/><BR/>The answer being: "Life begins when the last child has left home and the last dog dies."<BR/><BR/>(So Nankin does have a point.
