Well, after agreeing on a very fair offer for our home the buyer didn't qualify for his loan. So we're back to living neatly again as strangers traipse through our lives. Somewhere this must be the definition of hell.
And tell me, how can one man get so much toothpaste on one mirror in such a short amount of time? I'm considering moving his toothbrush to the shower.
We spent the day looking at houses to purchase, then got the call that the deal had fallen through. I guess it's just as well. We didn't find "the" home yet. I'm a big believer in things working out for the best.
We have plans to see the movie "Brokeback Mountain" tomorrow while they're showing the house (or as a friend of mine called it, "Bareback Mountain.") I was hoping to "surprise" my husband with the subject matter and just tell him it was a western, but he'd already heard about it...darn it. He wanted to know what he should wear to see such a movie and I said, "Oh, I'm sure we can put you together a gay cowboy outfit." He laughed...sort of.
They're everywhere! It seems everybody wants their deep, dark, diary-like secrets read by everyone and their dog...

We Got A Contract!!!
But it's a low offer and they want us to pay closing costs, which in case you didn't know, is a lot of freakin' money. $5,000 in this case. Somebody's getting rich off of real estate but it isn't the buyer or the seller! We counter-offered so we'll see what happens...stay tuned!

Bigger Than Life (Threatening)
Just when you thought it was safe to go into a toy store...now you can find your favorite disease in a playful plush form.
I guess what doesn't kill us only makes us...uh...warm and fuzzy. Interested in purchasing these lovable creatures, go here.
HOUSE UPDATE: nothing new to report. We had several showings over the weekend and one scheduled this evening...I'll keep you posted.

First Showing!
We had our first showing yesterday. OMG...what a three-stooges firedrill when we got the call that they would be there in 30 minutes. I thought the house was ready till we got that call...suddenly flaws glared at me everywhere! When the potential buyers finally arrived we went out the back to do some errands. When we came home 30 minutes later they were still there! We had to wait in the driveway another 15 minutes. My house isn't that big...there isn't 45 minutes worth of stuff to look at!
And then today their realtor contacted my realtor...they want to make an appointment to see it again. Jeez! Is there a spot they missed? More updates as they happen...

Room with a View!
We got the best room ever last night (actually it was a suite) plus a complimentary cheese and fruit tray because our "early check-in" ended up being later than regular check in...but it was worth it! The big green thing in the left side of the window is a 5 story high Christmas Tree.
