It's Crying Time Again

I know it's been a while since I posted, but there's a good reason. I've been sick. No, not the physical kind...and not the mental kind either. I've been sick to my stomach because I found out one of the multi-published authors in my local Romance Authors chapter just sold a book proposal to Warner with a similar premise to the book I've been slaving over for a year. The one that won third place in the contest. The one that was going to start me on my career as a fiction writer.

So I haven't felt much like writing. I've felt more like crying.

Firstly, don't cry.
It makes your face look like an anus and you have to keep applying mascara and pretending you peelind onions.Dozens of them.
Secondly, Warner will forget her idea in a nanosecond and Tom Cruise won't read the script 'coz the new baby will have pissed on it.
See! Always a bright side!

Karyn, I can tell you I'm feeling your pain. You should just forge ahead, finish *your* book and let 'em all eat your dust as it runs up the best seller list!!

Hmmmm. I knew there was something I liked about Bill. Good advice from a Marine!

Angel, I don't believe anyone has ever used anus in a sentence on my blog before...congratulations!

Bill, thanks for your support. It really means a lot to me. And I will finish it. I'm too close to the end not to.

John, while this Bill may be a Marine (I'm not sure) I think you're thinking of a different Bill. As always, thanks for your support, too.

Oops. Sorry Bill! I WAS thinking of THIS Bill. Another "senior moment," I guess.

(Marine or not, I STILL agree with what he said!)

Karyn, sorry I have not been around to give you support. I am sorry to read what has happened to you and all I can say is, don't give up.

I am so sorry for that.
There's two ways to deal with it - you can buy a voodoo doll and practice on it (pick your own victim) OR you can allow yourself a few days of wallowing, then continue with your writing. You will have your moment, Karyn. It will come. Know that much between stabbing the doll with a large pin.
